Multiple Stakes Winning Son of Two Champions!
- MINISTERS WILD CAT is one of the most exciting young stallions to stand in California. With his first crop racing in 2009, he has sired TEN WINNERS and a stakes horse through December 1!
-
MINISTERS WILD CAT was a multiple stakes winner with Triple Digit Beyer Speed who comes from one of the hottest families in the stud book. He won three of his four starts in 2005, including the Jacques Cartier Stakes at Woodbine, defeating Champions Wando and Judith's Wild Rush. At three, he won the Golden Stake Mile and was second in both the Affirmed Handicap (G3) and the El Camino Real Derby (G3), where he defeated Travers S. (G1) winner, Ten Most Wanted.
- MINISTERS WILD CAT is by Champion and Sire of Sires, Deputy Minister. Sons of Deputy Minister at stud include Awesome Again (sire of Horse of the Year Ghostzapper); Touch Gold (sire of Grade 1 winner Midas Eyes); Deputy Commander (sire of Grade 1 winner Ten Most Wanted); Silver Deputy (sire of dual Champion Silverbulletday), Dehere (sire of 3 Group 1 winners in Australia), etc.
- The dam of MINISTERS WILD CAT is the incomparable HOLLYWOOD WILDCAT, a champion on the track and a blue hen in the shed. At two, she was a three-time stakes winner, including the Grade 3 Sorority Stakes. At three, she earned the Eclipse Award as the champion sophomore filly in the land. She won the Breeders' Cup Distaff (G1) over older fillies and mares, including champion Paseana, Hollywood Oaks (G1), Del Mar Oaks (G2), San Clemente Stakes (now G2) and the Lady's Secret Handicap (now G2 and again defeating older rivals). At four, she became a Grade 1 winner on the turf, taking the Gamely Handicap at Hollywood Park and she repeated her win in the Lady's Secret Handicap. She closed out her career early in her five-year-old season with a stakes win at Santa Anita. In total, she won or placed in eighteen of her twenty-one starts and she earned $1,432,160.
- HOLLYWOOD WILDCAT is just as successful in her second career as a broodmare as she was on the racetrack. She is the dam of four stakes from six to race. Her first foal was the undefeated winner, Danzig Wildcat. Her second foal is the brilliant Breeders' Cup Mile winner WAR CHANT. An exciting young stallion, WAR CHANT has sired six stakes winners in his first crop! DOUBLE CAT was the next stakes winner for Hollywood Wildcat, followed by MINISTERS WILD CAT. Her latest stakes winner is the 2005 two-year-old colt, IVAN DENISOVICH, who won the Group 2 TNT July Stakes at Newmarket on July 6 and looks to be one of the top juveniles this season in Europe.
