SWISS WILD CAT WINS CTBA STAKES!
Making a strong inside move through the stretch, MINISTERS WILD CAT two-year-old filly SWISS WILD CAT earned the first stakes victory of her career in the $100,000 California Thoroughbred Breeders' Association Stakes going five and one-half furlongs over the Polytrack at Del Mar.
Fifth early, SWISS WILD CAT was able to move from the outside to the rail around the far turn and she had clear sailing to launch her bid. She caught the leaders with a sixteenth of a mile to run and she kept on going to record the half-length victory.
SWISS WILD CAT is a homebred racing for Heinz Steinmann and she is out of the Swiss Yodeler mare, I Can Yodele. She is trained by Mike Harrington.
July 12, 2010:
WHATSTHESCRIPT RUNS BIG IN RETURN
Grade II winner Whatsthescript , who stood the first part of the year at Tom and Debi Stull's Tommy Town Thoroughbreds near Santa Ynez, Calif., finished third in the July 10 Battlefield Stakes at Monmouth Park following his return to racing. Trained by Gary Contessa, Whatsthescript was beaten just 1 1/2 lengths in the mile turf stakes.

WHATSTHESCRIPT RETURNS TO THE RACES
WHATSTHESCRIPT (IRE), a multiple graded stakes winner who was retired last fall and introduced as a stallion at Tommy Town Thoroughbreds for the 2010 season, will return to racing on Saturday in the $100,000 Battlefield Stakes at Monmouth Park.

Odds-on favorite U R All That I Am justified the support with a half-length win in Saturday's $150,000 B. Thoughtful Stakes for California-bred and California-sired fillies and mares on the Gold Rush XI card at Hollywood Park.
U R ALL THAT I AM is by Valid Wager, out of the Fort Calgary mare Fort Silver, was bred by owner Tommy Town Thoroughbreds, is trained by Jerry Hollendorfer and was ridden by Joel Rosario..
She has seven wins in 14 starts, earnings of $270,188 and was coming off a second in the Mar. 20 Irish O'Brien. Ruffled Feathers was second and Lady Alex third, with Witchy Meeting unseating jockey David Flores at the break.
U R ALL THAT I AM ran the 7 ½ furlongs in 1:30.61.

TOMMY TOWN-BRED YOU LIFT ME UP WINS WORK THE CROWD STAKES!
This time, there was no catching YOU LIFT ME UP in the Work The Crowd Stakes at Golden Gate Fields.
YOU LIFT ME UP, who had to settle for second in the 2009 edition of the Work The Crowd after being run down in the stretch by Lady Railrider, ran strong to the wire Saturday to capture the 1 1/16-mile race for California-bred fillies and mares by two lengths. Rule the Storm took second by a length over Croxie.
Jockey Russell Baze rode YOU LIFT ME UP and was surprised that his mount won the $50,000 race in front-running fashion.
“I really didn’t want to be on the lead but I would have had to strangle her to keep her off it,” said Baze. “That’s all right. I didn’t mind being on an easy lead. You knew when they let her get away with those fractions that she’d be very tough to beat.”
YOU LIFT ME UP cruised on the lead while getting away with an opening half-mile in 49.57 seconds and three-quarters of a mile in 1:13.67. Trained by Jerry Hollendorfer, YOU LIFT ME UP won the Work The Crowd in 1:44.64.
Installed an even-money favorite by the fans, YOU LIFT ME UP paid $4.00 after collecting her fourth career stakes victory and her eighth win in 31 starts. Saturday’s $30,000 payday boosted YOU LIFT ME UP’s earnings to $431,299.
YOU LIFT ME UP, a 5-year-old mare by Lord Carson, is owned in partnership by Hollendorfer and George Todaro.

DON'T FORGET GIL WINS WAYWARD LASS STAKES
DON'T FORGET GIL, a four-year-old KAFWAIN filly bred in New York by Jonathan Thorne, captured the 26th running of the Wayward Lass Stakes today for owner Alan Brodsky and trainer Mark Hennig with Daniel Centeno in the irons.
DON'T FORGET GIL stalked the pace through the opening panels of the 1 1/16 miles main track test, moving to the lead at mid-stretch to emerge the victor by 2 ½ lengths. Choragus was second, and Miss Match was third, yielding a trifecta payout of $150.20 for a $2 wager.

In the filly division of Thursday’s $111,145 Louisiana Futurity, Northpointe Thoroughbreds’ THE RUMOR'S TRUE, never far back, wore down pacesetter Geniesthreewishes, owned by Ashby Thoroughbreds and Cajun Racing LLC, in the last strides to tally by a length and a quarter. THE RUMOR'S TRUE, ridden by Richard Eramia and trained by Steven Duke, recorded a final time for the three-quarter mile distance in 1:12.88, posted her third victory in nine lifetime starts and increased her career earnings to $233,797. She paid $9.20, $4.60 and $2.80

OLD TOPPER SON WINS HANK MILLS, SR. HANDICAP
TIE ROD, the son of OLD TOPPER had his nose on the wire before two-time winner Highland Games to capture the $50,000 Hank Mills, Sr. Handicap Saturday at Turf Paradise.
Ridden by Daniel Vergara, TIE ROD was never far from the lead and he made his bid around the final turn. He took over in the stretch and held gamely when he was challenged late. He covered the one mile in 1:35.62.
TIE ROD races for Stable HMA and he is trained by Ed Kereluk., the 5-year-old Tie Rod earned $30,000 for his Mills’ victory, boosting his career earning to $212,236. Bred by Dawn Lucas, he was produced by the Water Bank mare, Oasis.

MULTIPLE G2SW WHATSTHESCRIPT RETIRES TO TOMMY TOWN
Multiple graded stakes winner WHATSTHESCRIPT (IRE) will stand his first season in 2010 at Tommy Town Thoroughbreds in Santa Ynez, California.
The five-year-old Royal Applause (GB) horse out of Grizel, by Lion Cavern, will stand for $4,000.
Tommy Town raced WHATSTHESCRIPT with trainer Doug O’Neill as a two- and three-year-old and with trainer John Sadler at four and five.
WHATSTHESCRIPT scored in the 2006 Generous Stakes (G3) at Hollywood Park and Pinjara Stakes at Santa Anita Park, the ’07 Pasadena Stakes at Santa Anita, ’08 American Handicap (G2) at Hollywood, and Del Mar Mile Handicap (G2). He finished second or third in three Grade 1 races, including a third-place finish to Goldikova (Ire) in the 2008 Breeders’ Cup Mile (G1).
Bred in Ireland by Chris Machale and Jimmy Hyland, WHATSTHESCRIPT won six of 19 career starts and earned $907,964.

THE RUMOR'S TRUE, the two-year-old daughter of KAFWAIN, finished second in the $250,000 Louisiana Jewel Stakes going seven furlongs at Delta Downs. Two lengths away from the winner, she has earned $167,110.

DON'T FORGET GIL continues to add on stakes performances to her growning resume. The three-year-old KAFWAIN filly finished third in the $66,000 Real Prize Stakes going a mile and one sixteenth at Belmont Park.

KAFWAIN FILLY WINS HAPPY TICKET STAKES!
THE RUMOR'S TRUE, the two-year-old daughter of KAFWAIN, earned the second stakes win of her career, coming from off the pace with a stirring stretch rally to win the $83,500 Happy Ticket Stakes going a mile and one-sixteenth over the fast main track at Lousiana Downs on the Super Derby undercard.
Trailing for the first half-mile, she circled the field five wide around the final turn and she was carrried out wider throught the stretch, but she was not to be denied. She took the lead inside the final furlong and went onto a three-quarter length win.
THE RUMOR'S TRUE has her two career wins both coming in added money events. Bred in Louisiana by David N. Meche and William Whitley, she was produced by the Alwasmi mare, Awasarumor. She races for Northpointe Thoroughbreds and she is trained by Steven Duke. She has earned $117,110.

YOU LIFT ME UP, the multiple stakes winning four-year-old daughter of Lord Carson bred by Tommy Town came from off the pace to win the $100,000 Solana Beach Handicap going one mile over the firm turf course at Del Mar.
Rating in fourth for the first six furlongs, YOU LIFT ME UP made a three wide move into the stretch and closed strongly. She caught the leader and dug in gamely when another challenged late to win by a half-length.
YOU LIFT ME UP races for the partnership of George Todaro and her trainer Jerry Hollendorfer. She has earned $333,815. She was produced by the Green Dancer mare, Up On Her Toes.
August 15, 2009:
OLD TOPPER FILLY BREAKS HER MAIDEN IN NORTHLANDS PARK STAKES
SHIFTY TIME, the two-year-old daughter of OLD TOPPER who finished second in her debut, won the $53,468 TwoYear Old Filly Sales Stakes. going six and one-half furlongs over the fast track.
Dueling for the lead, she drew away through the stretch to win by nine lengths.
SHIFTY TIME was bred by Dr. Don Gibb and she was produced by the Avies Copy mare, Dandy Andy. She races for SNS Herefords, Morison Farms, Danny Hansen and Compass Ranch and she it trained by Tracy Greg.

KAFWAIN FILLY WINS $100,000 STAKES!
THE RUMOR'S TRUE, the two-year-old daughter of KAFWAIN, came from off the pace to win the $100,000 John Franks Memorial Sales Stakes going five and one-half furlongs over the fast main track at Evangeline Downs.
Midpack in the full field of twelve early, she gained ground around the turn, bravely split horses and was ready to roll at the top of the stretch. She closed strongly and got up in the shadow of the wire to win by a neck.

Don't Forget Gil Second in G1 CCA Oaks!
Oh but for a clean trip KAFWAIN filly DON'T FORGET GIL would be a Grade 1 winner. She came within a neck of victory in the $300,000 Coaching Club American Oaks going ten furlongs over the fat main track at Belmont Park.
DON'T FORGET GIL saved ground but she got pinned down on the inside. Full of run, but with nowhere to go, she finally got out late and came running but the wire came to quickly and she missed by a neck.
She has now earned $291,867.
The second stakes performing three-year-old filly for KAFWAIN today was LADY KAFCA, who finished third, a length away from the winner in the $65,000 Desert Vixen Stakes going a mile and one-sixteenth over the turf course rated good at Monmouth Park.

KAFWAIN TO STAND AT TOMMY TOWN!
KAFWAIN, the multiple grade II winner in California, will stand in 2010 at Tom and Debi Stull's Tommy Town Thoroughbreds near Santa Ynez, Calif. His fee will be $5,000. Kafwain, who won the Norfolk (gr. II) and San Vicente (gr. II) Stakes at Santa Anita and the Best Pal Stakes (gr. III) at Del Mar, stood the 2009 breeding season at Alfred Nuckols Jr.'s Hurstland Farm near Midway, Ky.
KAFWAIN, whose oldest runners are 3-year-olds, has sired 13 stakes horses and the earners of nearly $3.8 million. His eight stakes winners included graded winners Don't Forget Gil, Massive Drama, and The Pamplemousse.
Don't Forget Gil and The Pamplemousse are graded winners this year. Don't Forget Gil won the Florida Oaks (gr. III), and The Pamplemousse captured the Sham (gr. III) and San Rafael (gr. III) Stakes.
KAFWAIN ( Cherokee Run --Swazi's Moment, by Moment of Hope ) is represented by 79 2-year-olds this year.
